Decided to try the White Horse after hearing good reviews and after checking out the menu online we decided to try it. We arrived on a Friday about 7.30 but hadn't booked and it was very busy as their was a 30th birthday party but they was able to accommodate us, unfortunately when we sat down the menu wasn't the same one as online and when I asked the waitress she said it had changed so maybe this needs updating as my partner usually goes for gammon & egg but this in no longer on the menu, he did decide to try the steak burger and I went for the scampi, both came after a wait but it was worth the wait and obviously they was cooked fresh, the portions are plenty, sadly we was both full so couldn't finish our meals but both was cooked to perfection and well presented, and the waitresses worked very hard. Will be coming again x

Food was really nice couldn't fault it at all. Only criticism is perhaps more waiting on staff as we did have quite a wait to order but the girls who are there worked so very hard and were very professional.

Just had the most amazing meal .
Booked a table for 22 of us for a birthday , the staff have been superb !
Food and drinks came in good time and the food tasted Devine !
Alex you have done such a good job of this pub , not many good pubs around providing quality home cooked food !

Had a lovely lunch with my friend yesterday. We both opted for the soup if the day which was pea and ham and was delicious. We then had steak and onion ciabatta which came with lovely chunky chips and a jug of gravy. Was gorgeous but I was sooo full. Lovely friendly staff. Well done guys.

Over priced, not a patch on what it used to be, Chefs Steak pie was clearly warmed up and not fresh, very dry, no gravy in the pie, asked for some extra gravy so i could actually eat it... should have complained but couldn't be bothered with the fuss, simply wont go back.

We called in for a meal on New Years Eve as we couldn't get a table for 7 at our usual favourite. They were busy and although there wasn't a table ready the staff couldn't have been more accommodating... We were served our drinks in the bar, then the staff moved tables together and carried our drinks over for us, even adding wood to the fire at our request... the service was second to none and the food was delicious! Never been happier to be turned away from somewhere and we've definitely found our new favourite! Special thanks to Rachel for her excellent manner and brilliant customer service.
